360 Days To Go!
What will the weather be like?
The general guidelines tell us that in May, Ravello offers mild to warm, pleasant weather, with daily highs typically around 19°C–26°C and pleasant evenings. Average temperatures usually sit around 15°C–23°C, making it an ideal time for sightseeing without extreme summer heat.
From personal experience we have found that the summer weather has not yet settled in May and it can be mixed. We have seen fabulous sunny days followed by rain and a drop in temperature but you will be able to check closer to the date.
The evenings can be cool so make sure to bring something suitable for this.
What to wear?
Something comfortable, stylish and have fun finding your Italian chic! The attire in Ravello tends to be casual day to day.
On the day we want everyone to be comfortable and enjoy themselves, we are delighted to have you to share such an important day with us so wear something that makes you feel good!
Is there parking in Ravello?
Parking on the Amalfi Coast is very scarce (parking in Ravello is no different) and expensive, usually with hotel parking, your car would be taken to a garage off site.
What kind of footwear do I need?
We are hoping to have our ceremony outside, weather permitting so for the ladies you may be more comfortable in something that is suitable for grass/uneven ground on the day.
The ground around the town is also often cobbled and quite hilly and if you end up sightseeing you could be on your feet a lot too so something comfortable and suitable would be beneficial.
How can I get more of a feel for Ravello before I go?
In Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy (Season 1, Episode 1), Stanley Tucci explores the Campania region, focusing on the intense culinary traditions of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. We really enjoyed this series overall, so we would definitely recommend it if you are looking to learn more about Italian food and culture.
Gino D'Acampo explores the Amalfi Coast primarily in Series 1, Episode 1 of Gino's Italian Escape (2013) and again in Series 5, Episode 1 (Gino's Italian Coastal Escape, 2017).
